English Tutor for Near Experts (downtown / civic / van ness)

You didn't have any fun learning English; it was nothing but trouble! But you did it. And then it started to be enjoyable. Now you find yourself having some confusion here and there, which is perfectly natural. If you haven't been living in the U.S.--or another English speaking country--for more than five years there will still probably be some things that are not clear. We can clarify any confusion you might have, and we will work on it until you are completely satisfied with your understanding.

I ask a very reasonable rate of $20 for an hour. I do ask one thing though, and that is a degree of seriousness in my students. I ask that a certain amount of homework be done for each meeting. This will normally be writing as I think this is the best way to delve into the structures of the language. An exception to this would be for people who are having difficulty developing an ear for spoken English. In that case we will be speaking together exclusively.

My price for the hour includes my preparation time, which I believe to be important. However, if you want to do without that, I will charge only $15/hour.
